SCIENCE ALIVE! and HABITS OF MIND

Hi everyone
Please add your comments here about today's science.
We were so luck to have Mrs Wiseman come in to take
all of you through the scientific process. I was absolutely
thrilled to see how excited you were by science.
Look out for more challenges and fantastic experiments
as we get involved in "Thinking Like a Scientist".
Think about new learning, interesting facts, relationships
to previous learning etc.
I will be putting lots of photos on the blog tonight so check them
out and talk about them with your parents.

I'm looking forward to seeing the collages too - and especially reading what the groups come up with who are creating their own poems.
You did an impressive job today in linking your previous knowledge to new learning. :-)
I'm looking forward to hearing your science ideas too.

  7. I really enjoyed creating the habits of mind posters with all of the cellophane, paint and fabric etc. My group all worked together to make a spooky kind of poster. I hope you like ours Mrs Hughes!!!

  8. I was really excited when Mrs Wiseman came in to our classroom and we made the Y and X stuff change colours. This week we rolled little trolleys down the ramp and then we timed them. Next week we are going to blow the classroom up with all the teachers in it! (LOL) Thanks for coming in Mrs Wiseman.
    Kiera. :)

You are such a thoughtful young lady to thank Mrs Wiseman. We are lucky that she can come in and help encourage science in our room.
Wait until you see all the bits and pieces I put together yesterday. Look out Monday!! Let's hope it's sunny for some of the experiments!
I shall have to watch you closely - just to make sure nothing blows up!! :-) I really like your sense of humour - I think!!! LOL
