We're still focussing on confidence in number knowledge this week. Here's an awesome site for you to check out. It's one that will really help you with your basic facts. Some of you will be using it in a webquest starting this week. Tell your parents what these are all about.

It's Callum and Brayden year 6 is going really good except for two of our Monarch Butterflies disappearing! In our last report we told you about our new chess and checkers here are the photos!

Hi everyone

It's very exciting to see that we are getting some followers on our blog!

Another busy week ahead. Our goal is to keep all of you up-to-date with what is happening in the classroom, what we're learning and any upcoming events.

This week is all about looking at instructions - reading and writing and having some fun following them. I'm tying this into the children's love of science so we should have some exciting things happening. (Hopefully no explosions!!!)

Thank you to everyone who came to the Meet the Teacher last week. Remember, you can always call in just to say hi and find out about all the amazing things these very special people are doing.

We are also busy practising for athletics this week.

Another area we've been working on is learning about a range of thinking skills to really push our learning along to a new level. I will hopefully get some links to some great sites on here for you by the end of the week - some fantastic maths sites too!

Hi It's Bailey, Callum H, Hollie, Liam and Olivia from room 8 with all the latest news, for you!!!!

We are really happy and having fun on our new GIANT chess/checkers!

Also our class room is very very lucky, as we have just received new computers!!!!

Our class is pilled to the roof with GREAT ideas and funny children as Mrs Hughes always says!!

Also art rocks with Mrs Wilcox it is awesome!

Today is a special day because there are two birthdays on! Mrs Hughes's dad's birthday and Liam's birthday is also on today!!!! 17/02/2010

Welcome to 2010

Hi everyone!

This year is off to a fantastic start. Your children are brilliant - and very funny! I know that we will all work hard to make this year one of the best yet and a great success for all.

This is just a short introduction. You will soon find videos on here including our online diary of the Monarch butterflies, imovies exploring different learning and information on what we are doing in and out of the classroom.

This space belongs to all of us and we welcome your feedback and input - particularly ideas for what you would like to see on our blog.

Our aim is for the children to do most of the work on the blog. This offers them opportunities to communicate outside the classroom while enhancing their skills in ICT, Reading and Writing, just to name a few areas.
