Another great challenge to promote thinking outside the square, co-operation, problem solving and team work.
I couldn't believe the creative thinking that went on for this challenge!! Add your comments below about how you had to communicate your ideas to the other person and work as a team.
I am still not sure how one team ended up linked to the basketball pole!! Now that could take some explaining.
the houdini challenge was hard but it was really fun great learing skills helping people work together some teams were able to cut through there string by rubbing it back and forth against each-other hehe =)
ReplyDeleteYes, well we won't talk about THAT level of creativity! :-)
ReplyDeleteI loved hearing the discussions and the ways in which everyone tried to get out of their tangles.
You never gave up. I felt very proud of all of you.
It was really hard, Sean and I coudn't even figure it out,but it was still fun to try.

Hi, I really loved the Houdini Challenge because we had to think very hard to get through without breaking the string! Andrew and I managed to get through a small hole and get Andrew's hand through.
ReplyDeleteGo Mac! I loved your attitude towards this challenge - and everything else you do. You are an impressive thinker and I can't wait to hear more of your interesting ideas. I am also most impressed by the way you take notice of what's happening in the world around you.
ReplyDeleteIt was hard but fun. Zach and I tried to cut the string but it didn't work out too good.
ReplyDeleteIt was so much fun to watch all of you trying different techniques and strategies Travis. I loved seeing your enthusiasm and hearing your ideas. I can't wait to hear more fantastic thinking from you! :-)
ReplyDeletehi Andrew here. I liked the Houdini challenge. it really made you use different startegies. Mac and i somehow did it but we didn't know how

ReplyDeleteHi, it's Tim here. The houdini challange was so much fun. Robbie and I took a really long time to solve it... OK maybe we didn't solve at all, even when the answer was showed to us. We just some how couldn't do it. I don't know what we did wrong. Anyway i've got to go now go now. Farwell.
ReplyDeleteHi Tim! You have such a wonderful way with words - always a joy to read. I can't wait to read more of your amazing writing by the way.
ReplyDeleteI was so impressed with the effort that both you and Robbie went to, to be able to solve the challenge. It is such a tricky one! Even when I showed you the solution, I got it wrong the next time. A very puzzling activity indeed! I am looking forward to hearing more of your amazing ideas and thoughts. :-)
I liked the houdini game. I think Sophie and I got tangled up well.
ReplyDeleteHa! I Iaughed and laughed when I read this! I think you did a fabulous job of getting tangled but you also tried very hard to solve the puzzle. A superb effort.
ReplyDeleteLove the poses Sophie and Jaidene!
ReplyDeleteThis challange was very hard but it got you thinking. I thought it would be easy peasy. I WAS WRONG!!!!! At least everyone had a go and tried - Olivia Fraser
