DISCOVERY DAY THOUGHTS

Hi everyone
This week we've been flat out with our Science DIscovery Day. We thought you'd like to read our thoughts.
We've added them as comments so that this is more manageable than lots of writing on the main page of the blog.
We'd love to read your comments.
We are also working on using correct surface features - spelling, grammar and punctuation on the blog.
We know that even when our first draft is correct, we sometimes don't go back and check our typing on the
blog. We will keep working on this!

Room8 Discovery Day!!! There were many many experiments, like mine, I was working with Shannon; we made Vanilla Ice Cream. It was very successful, and VERY YUMMY!!

There were heaps of other experiments though like...
Exploding ones, floating ones, bubble ones anything you could think of, it was here! Anyway throughout this term we have been working all around SCIENCE, and all the different types of science.

My favourite two types of science are, Phyisics and, Chemistry.

    See ya round
    Hollie!!
    :) :) :)

  2. On Monday the twentieth there were twenty nine scientists that were not at rest for there was a Room Eight Science Day. It was one of those scientists that we had been researching with Mrs Wiseman and it all led up to this one day. It was one of the most brilliant science days in the world. There was colour, there was explosions, smells, taste, and best of all there was science it was totally awesome.

  3. On Monday the 20th of September Room 8 held the Myross Bush Discovery Day. There were heaps of cool experiments to try from Green Gloop to the flying Hoop Glider. It also was a science fair; everyone had an awesomely amazing experiment that they had been working on during the term. Room 8 have been doing many amazing things with science this term but we have mainly been focusing on chemistry, physics and biology.

  4. In the last month we have been working on science so we decided to have a Discovery Day, with some help from Mrs Wiseman, who has been coming in and teaching us some science experiments. Samantha and I [McKeely] for our Discovery Day, we made a... Volcano, a safe one. When we wanted it to erupt we put yeast, honey and warm water inside we got an eruption. It was an awesome day and I would do it over and over again.

  5. On Monday September the 20th our class, the fantastic Room 8, hosted our Science Discovery Day. There was everything from home-made ice cream to sticky goo from green daffodils to exploding film canisters. My favourite thing (other than mine of course) was Tangy Taste where you got blindfolded then you ate a jelly bean and guessed what colour it was. So overall our Science Day was really fun, an awesome experience and a huge success.

On Monday 20th of september Room 8 had a science day. All the classes
came to check out what we have been up to this term. There were heaps
of different activities like: Crazy Putty, Creaping Colours, Tangy Taste, The Egg Experiment, Vanilla Ice Cream and much more. We had so much fun. We hope you enjoyed it!!!

  7. On Monday 20th of September room8 had a science day. We got ready for all the classes are coming in to play and look at our science fair. Soon the first class are coming in and some people were nervous that their experiment was going to go wrong. Here they come-some of us were still nervous. I was standing next to Scott and Brayden doing ''Suck an egg into the Bottle'' and it was funny to watch them. I reckon that the experiment were really awesome that I loved to do them all with my friend EJ and it was such a great day. By Bailey and EJ.

  8. On Monday the 20th of september room 8 held a science day. At our stool Ellie and I had a bubble experiment to see what bubble mix works better. There were loads of different experiments like ones that went bang, some that went boom, some that would float and some that were normal. The reason why we are writing about science is because throughout this term we have been studying it. To help us, Mrs Wiseman has been coming in and talking to us about different kinds of chemicals, foods and how gravity works. We have all really enjoyed this science, and we all got so much out of it.

  9. On Monday the 20th of September room 8 from Myross Bush had a science day. Niamh and I did a science experiment with 5 egg, 5 jars and 4 types of liquids. I think the egg that we put in vinegar changed the most because the shell dissolved and the skin was the only thing holding the insides in. The cola egg cracked inside the jar and there were little bubbles attached to the
egg the inside of the egg stained the shell. The egg that was in the coffee didn't change until we cracked it open we saw that the inside of the egg had gone moldy. We had a science day because throughout the term we had been learning about science and Mrs Wiseman had been coming into help us with science so we decided to have a science day. We think that having a science day was so much fun and that Mrs Wiseman taught us heaps.

  10. Room 8 Science lab.

It was an exciting with my class experiments.
There were things like suking an egg into a bottle, sweirling milk, exploding film canister, wave tanks, crazy goo, tangy taste and flowers that change colour. oh and a few weeks ago mrs wiseman came into class to do some science with us. She taught us about weight, food and reacsions.

  11. On the 20th of September 2010, Room 8 had a Science Discovery Day.
Each Student had an experiment of their own.
Anthony and I had quite a rather interesting and exciting experiment.
Our one was about getting a paper cup, putting a hole in the bottom of the cup, getting another paper cup and putting a hole in that as well. Get some string put each of the ends of the string in each cup and tie a knot in each cup. Making sure that the knot is big enough so that the knot does not come out of the cup. Then getting two people, give each person a cup, telling them to pull the cups so the string is tight and make sure nothing is touching the string-except the air of course! Then getting the two people to talk to each other and surprisingly enough they be able to hear each other. This is caused by the cup sending sound vibration waves through the string! But there were also some other very intriguing experiments like... Bendy Bones, Floating Egg, Fitness Puzzle, Bubble Bath Brand Test, Bubbles, Milk Fat Content Test, Egg in Liquid Test and Crazy Putty! My favourite would definitely have to be the Bendy Bones It was so bizarre to see bones bend!!
It was such an amazing day and I hope to go deeper into the world of Science.
